What is Tea?

Chinese Tea is the second most consumed drink in the world.It is is a beverage made from the leaves of tea plants and boiled water. Which has many different types.Tea originated in China, but its production and manufacture has spread to many other countries in Asia. Basically, we classified them into 3 main types.

(1) Green Tea [non-fermented]

Green tea usually refers to the tea leaves that did not undergo the process of fermentation. Therefore, it has a higher concentration of antioxidants. Research had suggested that these antioxidants can have a beneficial effect on the body by neutralizing free radicals and reducing inflammation.

Example of such tea, Loong Jien (also called Dragon Well).

(2) White Tea [slightly - fermented]

White tea contains the same types of antioxidants as green tea, but in greater quantity. These antioxidants are found to be good for health. For example, boosting cardiovascular health, helping to lower cholesterol, reducing the risk of cancer and enhancing weight loss.

(3) Red Tea [fully fermented]

Red tea refers to the tea leaves that are fully fermented. Some of the ealth benefits are the ability of curing headaches, insomnia, asthma, eczema, bone weakness, hypertension, allergies, and premature aging. This tea is absolutely free from caffeine content.
